President - Chantelle Edwards
![]() I’m in my 4th year of music ed., majoring in Clarinet with a minor in Sociology. This is my second year on MEDUSA, and I am committed to making it as successful as we were in our inaugural year. As president, I hope to increase our visibility in the Montreal music education community by serving on various associations. I would also like to increase community connections and expand on last year's theme of "Music Education for Social Change". In my spare time, I like to play Scrabble, drink coffee and organize other people's schedules!
VP Professional Development - Robert Couture![]() Rob is a fifth year music ed'er, with a concentration in voice. In 2004, he was crowned as the state of Vermont's Maple King, and he still periodically returns home to milk cows on his family farm. As VP Professional Development, Rob has several guest speakers, trips and workshops lined up for the music education area, one of which will be presented by music education students to working teachers, so stay tuned!
VP Social - Allison Hess![]() Allison is excited to be representing MEdUSA this year. When she's not showing you love, Allison is probably singing her heart out while walking down Sherbrooke. She says, "This year will be an awesome one for Music Education students at McGill, with lots of opportunities for professional development, clear and concise program guidelines, and many themed social events." If you need anything, don't be afraid to ask. Allison's here for the people.

She is super excited to help MEdUSA stay organized this year, and looks forward to being involved in the committee's future plans. Elizabeth enjoys knitting, gospel music, herbal tea and 80's dance tunes!
VP Human Resources - Aran Bangs![]() A fourth year student of the Music-Education concurrent Bachelors program at McGill, Aran Bangs has been active in the teaching profession for 8 years both with a private teaching studio of her own and as a classroom teacher. She served on MEdUSA last year in the capacity of VP Communications and is excited to rejoin the team as VP Human Resources. Need a job? Want to share your passion for music and education? Contact medusa.mcgill@gmail.com and we'll hook you up!" What I think is the best thing since sliced bread: Post-It notes.
VP Finance - Beth McKenna![]() Beth is a 1st year Music Ed student, with a concentration in Jazz Saxophone (Tenor Sax) and minoring in French, Beth has had prior teaching experience to small groups of woodwind students ranging from elementary to high school, as well as directing junior high jazz combos, and a few jazz improv. workshops. Beth hopes to help out with a lot of exciting projects that will be put on by MEdUSA, as well as balancing the books with finances for the committee. Being one of a few Maritimers in McGill's Music Ed. program, (Hailing from Nova Scotia), she is excited to be living in Montreal and to be a member of MEdUSA! In her spare time, she likes to have jam sessions, listen to jazz, go shopping, and hang out with friends!
