Agenda & Proceedings:
- McGill 24: McGill is having a giving day on March 16. Two goals: to raise the role of philanthropy in the McGill community and second to raise funds. This is the first time McGill is doing something like this. The Schulich School of Music wanted a concrete goal and decided to raise money for music education, specifically instruments. There is a donor who will match up to $7500, possibly more, for a total of $15,000. The advancement office has given us a plan of what we can do to help which includes spreading the word through social media and making videos/taking photos of what we need replaced/fixed. Lisa has a wishlist from the technique teachers.
Social
- YAP: Room is booked March 11, 19:00-22:30. Eve-Marie received an email from Peter Wightman saying that there will be a $150 cleaning fee for this booking. She will correspond with Peter Wightman to clarify why there is this charge and resolve the issue. Confirmed panelists: David Peretz-Larochelle, Christian Inglevics, Joanna Papamihelakis, Liz Huyer, Nathan Gage, Emily Curtis.
Professional Development
- Ukulele Workshop: February 18 at 18:00 in room A-410.
- Repair Workshop: Steve Dubinsky will be doing brass and woodwind repair workshop on March 15th at 18:00-19:30. Doug will book a room.
Finance
- Budget: MUSA has given us the numbers. Gillian will finalize the budget document for approval next week.
- Swag: Logo colour change still in progress. No word on when website will be up, but hoping for next week.
- Grilled Cheese Sale: Next Wednesday, February 17th. Sale is on from 10:00-14:00, but will need to set up starting at 9:30 (Naomi and Kyle will help Pei). Facebook event is created. Everyone should invite their friends at McGill. Doodle is on the open MEdUSA facebook page. Sign up for volunteer time. Flyer is also made, will be posted next week. Pei will be doing the shopping next week.
