Agenda & Proceedings:
Social
- Welcome Back Cocktail: We have the alcohol permit. There are posters up around the school.
Finance
- Budget: Tabled.
- Music Swag: Zainen is going to ask the MUSA executive about us selling music swag. EdUS said that they will be ordering in a month or two so we will get in on that order.
- EdUS BBQ: Pei, Eve-Marie, and Heather were there at the MEdUSA table. An advanced placement student, Toby, came and talked to Eve-Marie. He is possibly interested in becoming Advanced Placement Rep.
General
- Drum Circle: Mitchel heard back from VP Clubs from SSMU. They are on board and think it’s a great initiative. There is no room booking fee if it is a faculty association so we have to book through EdUS or MUSA. We will try to choose a date that is not the same as the stress dogs.
- Volunteer Fair: September 28 from 12-2. Share the Warmth will be there, Audrey will find someone to represent MNHB. Heather has to email QMEA and QBA. Yellow Door has not replied. Pei will ask if we can use the Grilled Cheese sale spot for the fair. Heather will make a Facebook event and email about the fair. She will also get Celeste to email all the music students.
- Reps: We got one first year rep applicant. Our first year rep is Kyle Martis! Naomi will email him. Eve-Marie talked to Toby at the BBQ about possibly being the advanced placement rep. She will message him to see if he is actually interested.
- Meeting with the Dean: The official agenda is: Volunteer Fair, our budget increase, MUSA student life fund, MEdUSA year overview.
- QBA: Meet and Greet is now on September 30. Doug will email the general assembly to tell them about the date change. It starts at 17:00.
- MHFA Training: Gill, Heather, and Colin can do it on November 7 & 8. Everyone else has a commitment on weekends.
Next Meeting: Next Thursday, same time, same place.
Adjournment: Doug motions to close the meeting at 19:52, Gill seconds.
