Agenda & Proceedings:
VP Prof Dev
- Percussion Workshop: It’s in an hour and ten minutes! Yay! Kathleen has a thank you card for Shawn.
VP Social
- Semester Proposal: Becky motions to approve, Heather seconds.
- Festivus: Keep it short and simple for food and drinks. We want to focus on Christmas goodies and put more food out all at once. We want something big enough to distribute hot chocolate. We are still working on possibly getting a Costco membership through MUSA. Room booking request has been submitted. Then we can work on getting the liquor license. The dates need to be sent to Lisa once we get confirmation of booking.
First Year Rep
- MUSA Report: There have been two meetings. November 19 at 17:00 is the General Assembly. They need at least 54 music undergrads to pass referendums. MUSA wants sweaters so they’re going to contact Gill. They want to bring back singing telegrams and caroling. They are planning a coffee house. They are working on Clusterfunk. They are putting a MEdUSA link on the MUSA page, but Becky wants a page on the website.
VP Finance
- Sweaters: We have order forms printed and are on the MEdUSA office. The forms have also given out the forms to classes. Forms are due next Friday.
- Budget: Last night at the MUSA meeting there was a vote for 90% concurrent and 50% minor in music ed. Both motions were passed. What happens next is Becky has to write up an official report to present at the GA. At the GA they are going to vote, and in order to pass anything they have to have at least 54 people. We need to do a fundraiser this semester. We’re thinking of doing a raffle at the Christmas party. The semester proposal was not approved.
President
- Cabinet/Lock: Peter is bringing in a new cabinet to the office for us, so we have to clear out the old cabinet before then. People with office hours tomorrow should clear it out.
- Next Meeting: Same time, same place.
Adjournment: Becky motions to close the meeting at 17:45 , Gill seconds.
