Agenda & Proceedings:
Finance
- PD Budget: Lisa’s budget is confirmed as $600 for the year. It has decreased by $50 total.
- EdUS Finance Update: Gill met with EdUS yesterday. Their audit will hopefully be over at the end of the semester. Their reimbursement process has changed somewhat.
- Budget: MUSA has still not responded. Tabled.
- Swag: EdUS has not responded. Heather will ask at the next meeting.
Professional Development
- Workshops: Our first workshop is Monday. Keep advertising it in classes!
Social
- Festivus: Eve-Marie needs to book the room, order the alcohol permit, and order the alcohol.
Academic
- Meeting with Lisa: Colin spoke with Lisa about jazz required courses and she is not sure about them. Lisa will contact the Jazz Area Chair to find out what is required for music ed students.
General
- MUSA Rep: Kyle can’t make the meetings so we need another rep. They are every other Tuesday at 20:30. Naomi or Pei will do it.
- Drum Circle: Lisa has approved moving drums again. MUSA booked us a room but it is not the one we requested as it was taken. The room will not work for the drum circles. Mitchel will need to look on the SSMU website, find an alternate room, and tell MUSA to book that room (and cancel the other booking).
- Extra Project Reports: Only Heather and Naomi have done them for September. Please do them ASAP.
- Volunteer Fair: Heather, Pei, and Eve-Marie will email the representatives to get feedback.
Next Meeting: Next week, same time, same place.
Adjournment: Naomi motions to close the meeting at 19:36, Doug seconds.
