Professional Development
- MEdUSA Workshop - We have a workshop on Thursday. Becky will meet her at 5. Trevor will bring his camera. Workshop will be at 5:30 in A-410. “Teaching Theory Effectively in a Group Setting”.
- Share the Warmth - Becky was at the Sistema Conference in Ottawa last weekend. Share the Warmth is a Montreal based Sistema group in need of music volunteers. Becky will be emailing to get more information on StW.
- French Language Sessions - We will poll on the group to decide on the best course of action regarding the future of this event.
- Drum Circle Workshop - C-309 is booked for the workshop. March 30th for “How to Lead a Drum Circle” with Shawn Mativetsky. Will have to be capped, first come first serve. For any music ed student. Workshop will be 1.5h long, 6:30 - 8pm.
Finance
- Grilled Cheese Sale - Gillian sent out an email to the council and the volunteers. Gill talked to Peter Wightman about maybe adding music, but it was denied. Gill and Chris will buy food closer to the date. The doodle for who is manning the table has been filled out and there are enough people to pull it off! Gill will make some posters and put them up. Promotion through word of mouth in classes. Naomi will bring her foreman grill.
Social
- YAP - The wine has not arrived yet. There is an event in the 8th floor lounge until 6. Alumni scheduled to arrive at 6. Event starts 6:30. Council should arrive at 5:30 to bring stuff out. Advertisements should begin this week.
General
- Elections - We are not having a meeting before the elections. Chris will make ballots and make a list of everyone in the music ed program. The classes each council member is responsible for announcements in classes is responsible for polling in those classes. Heather will send an email to remind.
